Butte Valley Ambulance Service, Inc. (BVAS) has been providing a private, not for profit, 501 (c) 3 ambulance service to the Butte Valley Area since 1981.
Our service area includes approximately 1,200 square miles in North Eastern Siskiyou County, California. Our terrain starts with an elevation of 4,300 feet on the valley door and then can reach over 8,000 feet in the Klamath and Modoc National Forests. While we are considered quite rural with a permanent population of 2,500, we also have a major north south transportation route running through our valley. We serve approximately 40 miles of US Highway 97 and railroad.
